What is it?
Each year, our first Pathfinder event is to ride the Santa Ana River Trail from a jump-on point in Yorba Linda to the end at Huntington Beach (approx. 21 miles). Once there, we have fun playing in the sand or ocean, roasting hot dogs, and vespers around a fire.
Who’s invited?
Calimesa Pathfinders and Adventurers and their families. The church family is also invited to participate in the fun! All we ask is that you use the registration form to register, so we know how many to plan for, and the names of those riding for the checklist.
When and where?
Meet us at the starting point (Yorba Linda) or Huntington Beach! We typically start heading down the trail between 2:00 and 2:30 pm, and arrive at the beach 21 miles later, however long that takes!
Help needed
If you can help, we need it. We need parents to ride with the kids, help with check points along the way and at the end, and people to go save a fire pit spot at the beach (which is at the end of the trail). If you can help in any of these areas please let us know!
What to bring for supper
Your favorite hot dogs and buns (enough to feed your family), chips and/or dessert.
Pathfinders will provide: Condiments (mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, etc.), watermelon, drinks, plates, cups, utensils, etc.
